 My short media autobiography:

  • Books: I usually like to read non-fiction novels in free time. I love wandering around bookstores to have a look at the latest and popular books there. Mostly, I borrow books from library.

  • Newspapers: I seldom read newspaper because I like either watch news videos online or in my iPhone.

  • Magazines: I like fashion and home design magazines. However, I don't like to buy magazines because they are relatively costly.

  • Movies: I love watching movies so much! I can even watch movies every weekends. I love being in the movie world.

  • Recordings (Audio/Music): I usually listen to music when I am driving and boring. Hip-hop music is the music type that I like the most.

  • Radio: I listen to 99.7 and 103.7 whenever I drive. These channels have the most popular and latest music from the US Billboard.

  • Television: I don't have TV at home, if I really wanna watch some dramas or news, I will go online to watch them.

  • Internet: I like the Internet so much as it's the most convenient media that I can easily get use of. Almost everything is on the Internet. I believe that The Internet is the most important media nowadays.

Moreover, my hometown is Macau. I had been living there during my childhood. The media in Macau are open to the public in the forms of TV, radio, newspapers, magazines and the Internet. They serve the city by giving out information and entertainment. Macau's media market is fairly small but it has been reported as the highest media density in the world.

For Print media, there are nine Chinese-language dailies, three Portuguese-language dailies, three English-language dailies and six Chinese-language weeklies and one Portuguese-language weekly. The Newspapers are shipped from Hong Kong, mainland China, Taiwan and the Philippines to Macau every morning.

For Broadcast media, there are two television broadcast channels and one radio channel - Radio Macau. They include a Chinese and Portuguese language channel.

For Internet, there are several major communities such as Macau-street, Cyber-CTM, Qoos and Macau-plus

On the other hand, I am currently majoring in business economics at De Anza and would like to have a career relating to media and business in the near future. My aimed University is UCLA which has good academic resource and networking.
