I have used the Internet for
shopping especially. I know some of my friends used lots of time to play online
game like League of Legends (LOL). They used most of the day to play game with
their friends on the Internet. It totally
affects their learning progress and social ability, because they don’t really
like going to class or studying when they got addicted into the game.

How to Stop a Video Game Addiction
- Identify an addiction V.S. healthy game play
- Do not play more than 5 hours a day
- Forcibly limit your amount of time per day, i.e. have someone monitor and limit your game play
- Remove all games from your house
- Find a social outlet to replace gaming activities
I've had many students who were addicted to games, but luckily found a way out. It might be a phase for some people as they're growing up.
回覆刪除League of Legends looks like a cool game! I will try it over the summer. I hope I don't get addicted, but if I do, I will refer to the "How to Stop a Video Game Addiction" tips you have posted.
回覆刪除It is of my opinion that your friends have terrible taste in games. DotA2 and even HoN are far superior MOBAs and don't have a malicious, unethical company (RIOT) developing them.
回覆刪除I guess I'd like to point out how many of the above statements about video games could similarly apply to books as well. Addictive bookworms only get a sense of belonging within the context of the narrative and can hurt a person's learning and social abilities just as much. There are plenty of benefits to playing games as there are reading books. League of Legends isn't a great example of that, though.
But to say any more would be derailing the topic. I think that "Do not play more than 5 hours a day" and "Forcibly limit your amount of time per day" are really the same thing, though.
Either way, informative post.
